Overview
Advanced ADS-B "Out" solution for experimental aircraft
Integrates with G3X™ series flight displays for fingertip control and squawk code input
Meets NextGen requirements for ADS-B "Out" when paired with a GPS position source
Provides 1090 MHz Extended Squitter (ES) output for operations at any altitude, in airspace worldwide
Simplifies installation with a remote-mount design that saves panel space
Delivers low power consumption and increased reliability
For nearly 20 years, Garmin has led the development and implementation of various ADS-B projects, and we have optimized our ADS-B solutions for light sport and experimental amateur-built aircraft. The GTX 35R ADS-B transponder integrates with Garmin G3X and G3X™ Touch to provide you with fast, convenient, and powerful ADS-B "Out" capabilities, controlled directly from your flight display.
ADS-B Integration
This sleek, simple solution meets the December 31, 2019, mandate for ADS-B "Out". Delivering a 1090 MHz ES "Out" signal that complies with global requirements for flight at any altitude, the GTX 35R easily interfaces with your G3X series flight display and a GTN™ 650 or GTN 750 navigator, a GNS™ 430W or GNS 530W navigator, or a GPS 20A ADS-B position source. This enables automatic transmission of more accurate and useful traffic surveillance data to ATC, including aircraft flight ID, position, altitude, velocity, climb/descent rate, and heading information. By simultaneously broadcasting this information to pilots equipped with ADS-B "In" displays, GTX 35R allows them to essentially see the same traffic picture for their location as ATC sees on the ground.
Easy Installation
As a remote-mounted transponder, the GTX 35R simplifies installation, saves valuable panel space in your experimental or light sport aircraft, and integrates seamlessly into your flight deck. Squawk code entry and transponder control can be managed with just a few touches on your G3X series flight display. Additionally, its all-solid-state design allows for lower power consumption and greater reliability compared to previous-generation transponder technologies. The GTX 35R uses the GSU 25 Air Data Attitude and Heading Reference System (ADAHRS) for IFR altitude encoding information. With more ADS-B solutions in the field than anyone else in the industry, Garmin is making the ADS-B transition simple, beneficial, and affordable for everyone—no matter what type of aircraft you fly, where you fly, or what you have in your panel.
