The FAA approved 24V ETX680-24-TSO designed for certified aircraft! At the moment, we don't have any STC yet, but OEM aircraft companies are working hard to include it in their aircraft type certificate, like the Cirrus G7!

This battery has built-in electronic protections (BMS) and thermal runaway containment and ventilation capabilities. The ETX680-24-TSO meets all DO-311a and DO-160 requirements for a lithium battery in aircraft.

The battery is fully protected by an integrated battery management system (BMS) that protects the cells from overcharging, overcharging, short circuiting, temperature and cell balancing to ensure that charge levels are equal. Additionally, ETX Hundred Series aircraft batteries feature redundant electronic circuitry and battery failure indication. This battery also has a fault indication that can be programmed into the EFIS or connected to an LED on the panel. The fault indicator warns about the state of charge and the health of the battery.
